La Parisienne

Back to the food. A couple of days ago I showed you a view of the counters in a Patisserie in Montparnasse... now here's a close up of what my husband bought.
They don't just stick it in a paper bag or even a little cake box...no! They practise paper-bag-origami on it.

So it starts as a bag, proudly displaying the name and addresses of the shops, then a bit of clever folding produces a pyramid of paper to protect the treasure inside...

 ...and that is a beautiful confection of custardy, cakey, strawberryish wonder

(with extra strawberries hidden inside).
