Back to Kawaii and Moustaches
We took a break for some toadstools, now we're back to weird little drawings with stickers on them...
Just like the fish of a previous blog, all worms should also wear ties... although I can see it would be hard for them to to tie it!
A raindrop that means business, but in a chirpy way.
And, is it my imagination, or does this cupcake look like its doing a Super Mario impersonation?
More to come...

Terriffic Toadstools
Here are some more amazing fungus pictures, taken at three wooded locations: Winkworth Arboretum (National Trust), Newlands Corner and Stringers Common.
Close up and personal
Two varieties for the price of one
A nice nibble for someone (not humans I think!).
Some unbelievable colour combunations
And a breadth of bracket fungus on the end of a log
There are still some to come that look like a film set and a skull!

Fantastic Fungus!
I know its not Autumn yet but we've had an unusually wet August with some Autumnal weather, so husband and I went foraging for fotos of fungi... and here's what we found...
A forest of fungus!
Climbing down a step.
Slightly munched.
And confused fungi that can't tell which way up they should be.
There's plenty more weirdness where these came from.

Silly Stickers continued
My husband kept noting that I was staring into space with a puzzled look on my face, and that's because after a while it can be hard to think of more Kawaii type objects to draw then add a tie, moustache, bow or hat to.
A gentleman toadstool...
A knife and fork all dressed up to go out for a meal...
A slightly menacing bottle of potion...
And a cad or a bounder of an octopus!
And here is their whole page in one go.

Even More Silly Stickers
Here is the next batch in the series
Flower on its first day at work in the city...
and snoozing Banana during his lunch break at his exclusive London Club.
And the whole page together.

Silly Stickers- part 3
Here is the next batch of unlikely objects wearing hats, ties, bows and moustaches...
I never thought of 3D shapes in terms of gender, but there's something about adding a bow that alters that. Mind you I wouldn't have thought of a cube as female anyway.
I was going to make this an entirely 3D shape page but accidentally running the pen over the lump caused by the padded sticker on the previous page caused a slip that could only be rectified by the use of a pumpkin instead!
Well dressed but not looking forward to Halloween.

More Silly Stickers
Here are the next lot of drawings and their ties, hats, bows and moustaches...
All fish should wear ties, by order of the Undersea Management.
I think Carrot is out on his first date... with a Parsnip.
And here's the whole page at once.
Of course the downside of drawing these in a little exercise book is that, when you turn the page to draw on the other side, the new sheet of paper is rather lumpy from the padded stickers on the back.. an added challenge that turned what was going to be a perfect circle into a pumpkin as a way of covering up a wayward pen mark!

Silly Stickers
Here are the first few pictures I drew to use the stickers I showed you yesterday from The Works (Oh I LOVE that shop!!).
Celebrity Hedgehog and Tree Detective in disguise...
and well-dressed but slightly sinister cat!
Just draw the pictures (or trace them if drawing is not your thing) and add the puffy stickers!
More next time : )

What Would You Do With These?
I bought these from a shop called The Works (https://www.theworks.co.uk/ ), not knowing what I intended to do with them.
They are black, plastic and padded.
I'll show you next time what I did with them... What would YOU do?

Curvy Bendy Architecture
Do you know, I've been blogging so long now, I can't remember if I've shown you these pics already, but if so, probably not in this combination.
And they bear looking at again anyway!
A tube tunnel looking like somewhere from inside the Tardis.
And window and roof-y bits from other areas of London.
Walk into the Light! One of the tunnel crossings near Greenwich, I think.
There's always something odd to photograph in London.

Knitted Food
While on holiday on the Isle of Wight and visiting the museum in the grounds of the ruined Carisbrooke Castle, along with the ancient books and military equipment, there was this plate of knitted food.
I did not expect that!
But I must say I was tempted to get the needles out (or in my case the crochet hook) and have a go when I got back home!

Funking the Sea
I haven't done any Circular or Tiny planets Apps for a while so here's a seaside one to celebrate Summer.
And this is the same picture just turned the other way out.
Its Durdle Door in Dorset and is a beautiful if steep beach to get to, everyone has to use the same tiny winding path whether they're going up or down and rain can make it very slippery, but worth the climb if you're up for that kind of thing.

Arundel Castle
I'm a sucker for a castle.
And you know by now that I love a panorama. So here is the view from the top of the keep at Arundel Castle, looking like an amphitheatre in Rome. If you click on it you can see a larger view I think.
It's a long way up (or down, however you view it) but you don't have to go up there if you're not keen on heights. I take photos both because I like to and to show the members of my family who would like to see it but don't like to be up that high!
Inside the Armoury.
The Courtyard
And a lovely imposing panoramic castle view to finish!
Well worth a visit.

The Last of the Fighting Prncesses
Here sre the final pictures of the bead and wire girls now they are in situ.
The swords are cocktail sticks that have been incredibly useful for craft projects (for princesses and ninjas) and also for general stabbing of food: there's something adventurous about stabbing your own food with a miniature sword that both children and adults have enjoyed!
