Sculpey Nativity.
I do like working in Sculpey (like Fimo but softer). It's like plasticene for grown ups and is then baked in the oven to fix or harden it so it retains its shape. If you haven't tried it before but fancy having a go, do read all the manufacturers instructions as it needs some safety things to be in place for work surfaces, hands near mouths and utensils used, but don't be put off by that. Basically its not edible and so there needs to be separate space for working with it.
I just use the kitchen table and cover it with a plastic cloth, use a baking tray and tools that I only use for Sculpey and always wash my hands after using it.
Today's pic is just Mary, Joseph and Jesus but tomorrow there will be more.
Here's the before and after pic of the Who-vent monster: a blue Dalek.
Straight out of the box with just its blue plastic-ness, then permanent markered...
Remember there'll be a tableux of them all when they are all out of the Advent calendar at Christmas so tune in around then to see them all in their collective glory!
If you've only just found the site, scroll back through and see previous enemies of the Doctor from the Advent Calendar that was given away free with the November ssue of the Dr Who Adventures comic. I'm still SO impressed by that as a free gift!
