That sounds like a recipe for Christmas, or at the very least the order form left on the builders' desk when they went to repair the house of the witch in Hansel and Gretel!
These are the Christmas goodies baked by my Rosie for her friends at college.
There was an entire boxful (or over-full) when she left this morning and it was empty when she returned.
Only 5 days to go now till all the Doctor's enemies are released from their Advent prison. It threatens to be another Pandoric moment.
Today was another Sontaran (bottom right).
Yesterday I mentioned, tantalisingly, that although I hadn't made myself a Nativity set like the ones on the last two blogs, I had made somethng penguin related... well here it is!
This is MY naitivity set.
The intention was to make it look like a penguin infant school put on a Nativity play ...
where each part was played by a penguin...
eager for his or her parent to come and see them dressed up in their costume!
I think it worked. They are also meant to look like they are standing on ice blocks, though they are small glass cubes. These figures are also made out of Sculpey.
And on a Who-vent front, here is today's monster (another Silurian) among its row in the calendar.
Yesterday I showed you the Mary, Joseph and Jesus figures I had made from Sculpey (like Fimo) and told you that today I'd show you the rest of the characters in the set.
This set is one I made
for my sister a few years ago and you'll see that I need to mend the
eye on one of the Kings as it's dropped out.
I made a few sets for family members but forgot to make one for us!!! (mind you there's always the penguins... more on that another day!!!)
If I remember to take a camera with me, I'll photograph a different family one and put that up for you to see the difference a colour change can make.
And on the Who-vent front, here's the bottom row of doors and today's new monster is another Silence.
I do like working in Sculpey (like Fimo but softer). It's like plasticene for grown ups and is then baked in the oven to fix or harden it so it retains its shape. If you haven't tried it before but fancy having a go, do read all the manufacturers instructions as it needs some safety things to be in place for work surfaces, hands near mouths and utensils used, but don't be put off by that. Basically its not edible and so there needs to be separate space for working with it.
I just use the kitchen table and cover it with a plastic cloth, use a baking tray and tools that I only use for Sculpey and always wash my hands after using it.
Today's pic is just Mary, Joseph and Jesus but tomorrow there will be more.

Our home is an old single brick house from the 1920's which gets very cold when the heating is not on. So in the morning there's a battle between the warmth within and the cold outside. The result is a window steamed and ready to run at the first touch of a cloth or finger. This was the sunrise through it the other day...

Today's Who-vent monster is another Cyberman.
Today I went up to London to the house of a lovely couple family for a small Marmarati Gathering.
I've never been to one before but proudly wore my badge and accompanied my equally Marmite-obsessed husband (who is an old hand at these events) to a delightful afternoon of marmitey snacks and chat.
There were several other members there of the Marmarati club, like the Literati and the Glitterati but with a more Marmitey flavour, and the most amazing food HAD to be the Marmite fudge. We were given some to take home for our daughter (also a member) who tasted it and declared "I feel like I shouldn't like it...but I do!" which about sums up the weird combination of flavours.
Many thanks to the kind welcoming people I met and especially for the gift of a South African-labelled Marmite (like a spot the diffrce game) to add to the collection (see top of the Christmas tree of Marmite jars above).
For followers of the Who-vent calendar here are yesterday and today's monsters, repeat versions of earlier doors already opened, so I have funked up the angel image for fun!

This is a saying my husband was rather renowned for when I first knew him (many moons ago) and it had a particular gesture that accompanied it.
Here he is in Sculpey form, the living embodiment of that time...
The hair is rather shorter these days (much shorter today as he's been for a haircut) and the bright ginger has toned down a little over the years (he passed on a little to our daughter) but essentially he is the same lovely man!
And for those who are waiting for their Who-vent Calendar, here are yesterday's Ood and today's silence.
