Many moons ago, my husband bought me this clock.
It has spaces for photos to be put in each frame and, as I was into scrap-booking and making little sock-creatures at the time, he may have supposed I would fill it with photos either of family or Socklets.
The little cubby-hole is quite deep so, as I am now into scrap-boxing (filling little boxes with stuff), family related or otherwise, I filled them with stuff:
The marbles were miniature ones (the cubby-holes were not deep enough for full sizes ones).
Lego pirate was slightly too deep so he has no glass on the front.
China bunny was also slightly too deep so that compartment has no rigid back on it, just a fabric one to stop things falling out but gives a little stretch as required.
And the clock face got pimped with stick on jewels to give some indication where the hands were pointing.
Here's the finished article in its entirety.
When it was finished, put a battery in the back, hung it and off it went... for about 40 minutes... that seems to be about its limit of working time. So now it is a non-functioning object-d'art.
