Transforming boxes

I LOVE BOXES!

All sorts, all shapes and all sizes. The house is full of boxes and the boxes are full of stuff... ergo the house is full of stuff!

Here is one I had for Christmas and what I did with it...

It was a lovely sturdy box from TK Maxx, with a flap-opening lid held with Velcro. The top and front were gold, cream and bird-word emblazoned.

They were the first go. Now it is more sombre and moody in purply-black.

The front has old map-type paper from the Tim Holtz stash I've had for years (waiting for the right moment... this was it!).

The little wooden creatures come from Hobbycraft and were part of my 'Wahay I've got Christmas money' purchases.

The side panels were also Tim Holtz papers and have a jewel-like feel to the colours.

The box will help fulfil my New Year's Resolution: Finish the Unfinished and Clear the Clutter!

Unfinished craft projects will be placed inside it (at least as many as will fit... there are SO many) and I will worry away at them throughout the year until they are done or declare them clutter and get rid!
