Webster's Cheetah

Here's another from the Pictorial Webster's Gallery (see previous posts for the book that started it all).

The original picture was just the cheetah at the top of the page, I drew in the rest.

Mother's Day stuff

Here is what my lovely family gave me today to thank me for being Mum

Marmite (of course), a notebook (of course) and the uncannily accurate Ladybird book of 'The Mum'.

There was also a pretty blue mug to tie in with the new kitchen cupboard colour and become a new vessel to replace my much loved but unfortunately cracked blue and white hot chocolate mug.

Thanks Guys!

Amigurumi Hamster (/Cat?) Eating a Biscuit

Back on the Amigurumi kick, here's a little hamster one I made because my daughter and I had seen a giant furry toy one in a shop and thought the idea was so cute.

We were in a caravan and she was having an afternoon nap so I crocheted while she slept. Being on holiday alters the way you craft cos you can only take a limited supply of stuff with you and that dictates what you do... I make a holiday survival kit.. I'll show you what gets packed in mine sometime!

I finished it and tucked it in her hand while she slept so she woke up to find it!

Not a baby daughter having a nap, as you can see from the nails   = )

Amigurumi Fish

It's always good to try and push Amigurumi shapes to make something new.

Here is the fish I crocheted, with snap on plastic safety eyes and a felt tail and fins.

It looks really peaceful.

Seeing pictures of Amigurumi (mine or anyone elses) always makes me want to do more!

Making Even More Tugs

Quite a while ago I blogged these
http://socklet-world.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/star-tugs-and-zed-stacks-first-set.html
and these
http://socklet-world.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/tugs-second-set.html
and these

Although in reverse order.

As you may know with Autism: things often go round in cycles of interest and there are some things you may never grow out of.

Consequently, this week, I found myself again making Tug boats. I thought we had completed the set last time but... oh no!

So here are the next lot: 6 ghost tugs, the Princess Alice (liner), the coastguard tug, the garbage tug, the two station end characters Frank and Eddie and the container ship whose name escapes me, but I shall add it when I remember it.

Baby Pepper

This is the end of the peppers for now, I promise, but I can't leave you without you seeing the little buck toothed baby pepper.

Now it will be safe to log in to my blog without danger of peppers... for a while.
